Subjects: Because students at this age learn things interdisciplinary I could work on any subject suitable for this age group (Science, Social studies, Maths,...).

I am 27 years old and studying to become a secondary school teacher with the subjects English and Ethics. I am now in my first master semester at PH Weingarten.

I currently live in Lindau at Lake Constance (very south of Germany), where me and my boyfriend moved in December. Originally I am from Lindenberg, a little city near the Alps. Which brings me to one of my hobbies: being outside in the mountains with my dog, friends and family. I also really like running and mountainbiking, but beside all sports I also never say no to good pasta, a cup of coffee or glass of wine. ;)

Besides my studies I am working at the No. 1 learning app in Germany - simpleclub.

My first experience with other languages and teaching or communicating I made in my semester abroad. I was in a school in Denmark, where they have a class between kindergarten and school. It was so nice to see the kids, how they interacted with me and how I learned a lot about myself and what it means to be a (good) teacher. This is also a reason why I want to take part in this course. I am really looking forward working together with different kind of people, learning some new kind of views on how teaching can be practiced. Interact and discuss about different teaching methods, especially the online tools and beside all of that have a really good time together.

My name ist Teresa, I'm 24 years old and I'm studying English, German and math at the PH Weingarten in order to become a primary school teacher. Right now I'm in my second master semester and will (hopefully) receive my master's degree at the end of this summer term.

I grew up in a small town near Ravensburg with my family and our little dog Willi. After finishing school I've moved to Boston for a year to work as an Au Pair. Living with my american hostfamily enabled me to get great insights into american culture as well as practicing and improving my speaking skills.
During my studies I already did different internships at various schools where I gained my first experiences in actual foreign language teaching.
Although I do not yet have explicit experiences in CLIL teaching, I'm still really interested to learn about the concept and to try it out in an authentic context.

I'm also looking forward to meet people from all over the world and to gain some insights and new perspectives on teaching and learning.

Good evening!
I showed them the book, but it would be better to have a pdf or powerpoint, so we could read it. They liked the diversity of children and their names. They were interested in learning games that children play in other countries.
We have red some of the games around the world and then we played African game - Nyama Nyama on topic Animals and Food. They liked the sound and the simplicity of it. We watched this video for instructions on how to play it

- video that was changed accordingly to the needs and levels of our students

- everything was supported with images and worksheets that we just printed out

- language wasn't too difficult especially for older students who are already very familiar with English

- the content related to different subjects not just one: geography, social studies, home economics, P.E.,...

- students had a very positive opinion of the lessons and the activities

Disadvantages:

- timetables were a bit too complex, should be simplified
