So all in all, I think it will just take time.

The teacher I work with does the same thing. We all came later in the year but she has told me about the students who struggled in her class and how much they have improved in her class. Most of the students already know what their schedules are like and the teacher does not have to say anything when they need to transition onto another activity. It is amazing to see how powerful a schedule can be and how independent it makes them in their learning. Thank you for sharing!
