Explain how ATP is considered the Currency for the Cell/body.
Explain three difference between Glycolysis and Oxidative Phosphorylation.
How many ATPS are made in Gycolysis, Krebs Cycle, and ETC?

1. ATP is currency, because it is converted from originally being food, that food is consumed and in return ATP is produced for our energy
2. Glycolysis is the breakdown of glucose while phosphorylation is not. Glycolysis differs from Oxidative Phosphorylation because it partially oxidizes glucose because it is anaerobic while Phosphorylation is aerobic. Also Phosphorylation is a slower process than Glycolysis
3. Glycolysis (2 ATP), Krebs Cycle (2 ATP), ETC (34 ATP)

ATP is currency because, it is the type of energy that the body uses up in exchange for preforming daily functions
2. glycolysis is an anerobic process while oxidative phosphorylation is aerobic, OP is a slower process while Glycolysis takes less time, and while glycolysis happens in the cytoplasm, OP occurs in the mitochondria
3.
Glycolysis: 2
Krebs: 2
ETC: 34

1. ATP is the body’s main source of energy. It is the high energy molecule that stores the energy we need to function.
2. Oxidative Phosphorylation is an aerobic process while glycolysis is an anaerobic process. Oxidative Phosphorylation is electron transport and a metabolic pathway and Glycolysis is a breakdown by enzymes. Glycolysis is when glucose is broken down and Oxidative Phosphorylation is a when nutrients is oxidized.
2. Glycolysis: 2 ATP
Krebs: 2 ATP
ETC: 34 ATP

1. ATP is the source our body uses for energy which is from the food we consume that is broken down through the process of cellular respiration.
2. Oxidative must have oxygen and is a slower process making it less sufficient to produce ATP. Takes place in the mitochondria. Glycolysis is anaerobic and how glucose is broken down. This process also takes place in the cytoplasm
3. Glycolysis: 2
Krebs: 2
ETC:34
