During my first interview, I struggled with nervousness and a few tough questions. However, I took these tough questions and prepared myself for the next interview by going over hypothetical answers beforehand. This helped me to get mentally prepared, and ultimately, receive a job offer within PVUSD. 

How does this relate to the theme? 

This example relates to the theme because it shows a time in which I had difficulties in finding a job, stuck with it, and eventually found success through adequate preparation.

The first test in the class turned out to be extremely difficult, and I received my first 'F' letter grade on a test in college. I asked the teacher to meet after class to discuss how I could improve my scores. I began going to study sessions, working longer on study guides, and preparing more for the tests with practice quizzes. I got above 90% on all other tests and passed the class with an 'A.' 

How does this relate to the theme?
