Showing your curves is the new beauty. That´s why we can see more cury models on the runway than we used to do. It influences not only our individual living, it has also effects worldwide.
One danger is the global warming that gets more and more  through our consumerism. We live in a throwaway-society, so companys produce much, to stimulate the demand. Through the globalization goods get transported around the world. This makes clear, not only the production  also the transport of our goods promote the global warming.
Another point to consider is the vast amount of vaste we have in our rivers and oceans. Many fishs have to die through this and living areas get destroyed. Nearly everything is plastic or at least packed in plastic. Instead of reusing our plastic bags or bottles, we throw them away after one year.
