This was a really cute story and I like how you used an animal instead of a person as why the person carried the item they did. I thought it was cute to think that the dog kind of gave him the ball. The ending was really sad though and I feel bad for the dog

Your story was quite creative and really touched me, as I too have dogs. I liked the idea of the dog dropping the tennis ball in the soldiers suitcase as a last goodbye. Also I love dogs and I hope he lived forever.

It was interesting how the connection was made between veterans and their pets. In the story Luke was connected with his dog Toby. So when he got shipped into war the dog placed it in his bag to remember him somehow.

This is a very good idea. We don't very much think about leaving our pets behind. Luke and Toby seem to have a very strong bond, and the fact that they are separated is so sad. To help with the story it might help to give a mental image of the things that Toby and Luke do.

You were very creative in that your soldier didn't survive the war, while many stories they did. You also did a good job weathering the ball! Anyone with pets can relate to this story, it's very well written and personal. I like that Luke was drafted which would explain why he would ever leave Tobi behind.

The item was very well done, it seems like it could have actually been through the story written. The story was great, as it put in a twist with the dog losing the one he loved instead of the other way around, as is most movies. Overall, it was written fairly well and everything connected with each other product to create an effective project.
