https://padlet.com/JayDeratany/about While attending the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, Jay Paul Deratany served as president of the campus chapter of the International Law Society and competed as a member of the DePaul International Moot Court team. He also volunteered with both the AIDS Legal Council, where he helped draft wills and trusts for individuals with HIV/AIDS, and Travelers and Immigrants Aid, where he taught and mentored homeless teenagers in an effort to get them off the street. In addition to earning a juris doctor from DePaul, Jay Paul Deratany studied abroad in England and France to obtain an academic certificate in international and comparative law. Since 1993, he has served as the lead trial attorney of his own Chicago-based law firm, where, as a leading personal injury authority, he concentrates on cases involving medical malpractice and adoption and foster care negligence.
