As a performer, the first thing I needed to do was make self tapes to audition with. We were asked to read through the script and then write a short one-minute monologue for a character given to us and one for a character of our choosing. I was given the character of Elliot and chose to create a monologue for Marla. I chose marla as I felt the character was the most interesting and thought there was plenty of depth to the character that I could explore such as her reasons for starting the group.

As a production co-ordinator my role included lots of planning and supporting other departments. "A production coordinator's job includes facilitating the production schedule, budgets, equipment rentals, transport, locations, catering, billing and communicating with crew members" - (Masterclass, 2022).

This is me acting during one of our rehearsals. I made sure to fully commit to my character in order to test it out. I also asked for feedback from the director and assistant directors on my performance so I could tweak my performance.

This is me in full costume. It took quite a long time to apply all the stickers and labels and to document exactly where they had been placed which was really important for continuity.

As a production co-ordinator, it was important I supported any departments that needed assistance throughout the filming process. As well as this I also made sure I was on hand to try and solve any dilemmas we faced whilst filming.

Once I arrived on location, I started to move furniture. Some furniture was moved into/out of shot and some furniture was moved simply to make it easier for the crew to move around and avoid trip hazards.

Throughout filming I was responsible for lots of small jobs such as reminding the crew to get a room tone recording. I also did a lot of problem solving; for example, during the circular shot, the directors and lighting department were struggling to find a way to light the shot. I came up with the idea of moving one of the chairs round further. This allowed enough space between the first and last chair of the shot which meant the light could fit into into that gap. I also had the idea to have the camera start moving during one of Lena's lines so that there was a smaller and more realistic gap between her finishing her line and the next line spoken.

I was happy with my performance and felt my character work was good. I thought the scene turned out well and I am excited to see the final edited version.
