When some people spit on and boo the indigenous people, Darcy's dad tells them off.  Digger's dad shakes Darcy's dad's hand. Sr. Ally says, 'Those people have got hate in their hearts.' (p.100) Darcy carries the banner with Digger.<br>Quote:<br>'Those people (who spit and boo) have got hate in their hearts.'          <description><![CDATA[<div>Tom explains what a census is to Digger and Darcy, as well as the importance of the upcoming Referendum. Tom to Digger and Darcy: 'The Government was going to change the laws and might even make a new one to make discrimination illegal.'<br><br>Darcy asks Digger what it is like when people 'call him names and stuff'. Digger says it makes him mad. Darcy reckons it would make him mad too. Darcy apologises to Digger for calling him names and stuff. Digger also apologises to Darcy. They swore they would be mates forever.<br><br>Darcy and Digger visit Stevie, who is sick.<br><br>Comment:<br>Darcy and Digger are developing a greater understanding of one another and they are becoming closer as friends.</div>]]></description>
