Leslie Sanford stepped up to help a customer move forward with their loan process while some of her teammates were at a meeting. She asked all the right questions and made it seamless for the customer to work with more than one person by keeping everyone informed. Underwriting shout out to Monica Klein! Monica has been a staple for me from onboarding to being able to reach out to her to get feedback on inquiries and loans in process. I am very thankful for her quick responses and insight. Underwriting is a tough job and she has to make tough decisions but I can say first hand that she has continued to be a solid recourse for me. I’ve reached out to her all times of the day. Even last Friday after 4:30 when I was really struggling to get a loan triggered for LE. This isn’t her “expertise” but she helped me figure it out. This is just an example. I've reached out to her on a magnitude of things and she always gets back to me, good or bad - ha! I appreciate you Monica and you dedication to CHL. Good morning!

Just wanted to take a moment to recognize Megan here. She specifically called out that there was an easement and let us know that it would be recorded at closing and that the survey was recently completed so the legal is in the PSA but o parcel or address. This is a GREAT example of information that is extremely helpful for us as we can provide that to the appraiser right up front. We really appreciate the effort she put in on this one. She also let us know the PTR is 5-10 days out which is also great to know in advance.

I know you guys do the gratitude jar so just wanted to be sure this got called out!

Shout out to Carrie Graham. This "public" message is well over due. Carrie and I partnered up for over ~8 months ago and there isn't a day that I am so grateful to be on her team. Her broad knowledge about CHL and her dedication to our customers experience from start to finish is bar none. Her work is trusted and feedback from our customers have been nothing but top notch. She is mentioned often in my customer surveys and in direct emails. I remind her often that my days would be much harder if I didn't have her next to me (well virtually ha!) Thru the months we've grown a a friendship that is just the icing on the cake. I cant wait to introduce her to our next borrower because I know they will have the same experience I do daily. Carrie is positive and upbeat and that is not easy to sustain in this business. We constantly have challenges thrown at us but she powers thru time and time again. Carrie, you are exceptional and what you do but also.. thank you for just being a really awesome human. Thank you for joining me in every journey to close the next deal. Words can not express how much I appreciate you Julie. You really are a super human.. and Wonder Woman. The focus you have on internal and external customers is phenomenal. Although our customers aren't able to really see what happens behind the scenes I can promise you the feel the dedication to get their loan closed. That's to the entire Ops team as well. I'm going to specifically touch on my Dhillon file. We had a bit of an uphill battle to get to even doc stage. Buyer paying rush fees for appraisal, appraisal is late, value comes in low, seller doesn't want to budge... a cocktail for disaster, right? Well we made it thru that and now we're off to docs. Julie picked it up and did an incredible of getting CD out as soon as possible and even making sure it was out to buyer before end of HER day so we can get this loan closed by end of week. A special shout out to Jana as well. She stepped in to help on this file when I started to panic ( as I do often (JANA - thank you so so so much, this is to you too.)This type of teamwork is bar none. This industry is tough, but we are tougher. Beyond grateful to be part of this team and know I have an incredible Ops team to back us up.- Stephanie Borba

Now I wouldn't normally but two mentions in one post but these 2 appraisal superhero's have really made an impact on our appraisal process and communication. There is nothing easy about appraisals or dealing with all the questions between customers, RMs and well - APPRAISERS. I want to give a shout out to Debi! She just submitted a loan for docs in 11 days and she was out one of those days. When I say 11 days, I don’t mean business days – it includes weekends as well!

Both the listing and buyers agents are EXTREMELY impressed that we were able to get this done so quickly!

On another note, I had a relator call me after 5:00 last night on a file in progress. I was able to give the realtor an update without skipping a beat because Debi’s notes were so detailed in the milestone comments!

Brooke has been such a strong foundation of our construction process since I've onboarded (& before) She is overdue for some team acknowledgment. As we have worked together I have received nothing but excellent feedback on her communication to our borrowers AND contractors. ( say what?!?!?!) One we have in process together (5th draw in fact) sent me an email this week stating "I am so impressed working with Brooke and Northwest draw system, that I want to do it again and again!". I couldn't agree more.

Brooke, I appreciate your patience and expertise more than you know. You've never been "too" busy to help or explain. It's helping me and those around you a better assets to NWFCS! Im your #1 fan and always look forward to working side by side with you. Kati worked on a difficult construction loan a while ago and I was so impressed on how she handled a difficult situation with a customer and her realtor. Kati shined with her patience and her knowledge to truly assist the customer and do what was right for her.
I also needed assistance recently in a meeting and reached out to Kati. Without any notice Kati jumped right in and was a great help in the meeting. Thank you Kati!!!

I want to brag here too, so... I don't even know where to begin when it comes to the amazingness that is Stephanie. Having the pleasure of working along side of her, I am continuously encouraged by the amount of dedication and care she gives to every borrower she comes across. Stephanie pours her heart and broad knowledge into every loan. She does not easily accept anything less than perfection and works tirelessly to make sure that her performance is top notch. Her communication skills are superb and borrowers, agents, and others will always know what is going on. She creates a wonderful feeling that you are being well taken care of if she is handling it. Stephanie is also constantly creating templates and job aides to help her fellow coworkers which is greatly appreciated. She is always smiling, always positive, and a breath of fresh air in an industry that can sometimes be overwhelming. I have to give a shout out to Kati Hansen. We have a construction loan together and I have had an impossible time getting ahold of the borrowers to get the items needed to finish up. Kati was able to schedule a conference call. She explained everything to them from Construction items needed to closing costs and reserves. I am so incredibly thankful for her taking the time to get the borrowers to answer to answer the phone and clarify how important the items that I am asking for are! Kati, you are the Bomb Diggity! I covered for some people during the summer meetings and vacations and I struggled a little with interpreting other RMs files and with what other RMs were asking me to do. Rhonda spent probably an entire day looking at other peoples files with me and clarifying what the RM had done and how best it would be for me to do what I needed to do. She also taught me how to do some things that another RM was asking me to do that she normally does on her files. She spent her entire day helping me work on other people's files. I couldn't have done it without her!

My mind was blown this morning when Brocklynn was so helpful in showing the leadership team a new feature in Encompass. The History Tab in the efolder was un-explored and is the resource we have been looking for to easily track how/when a document was sent to the customer for non-edisclosure items. This will be so helpful for the team and Internal Audit. I am so grateful for you and all that you do for the CHL team!

Wendy recognized the importance of uniformity and acknowledged her own uncertainty by initiating a discussion on endorsing deposit checks. She highlighted the need to endorse checks correctly for both Remote Check Capture and physical deposits at branches. As it turned out, we had different approaches, and we subsequently received guidance from Cash Management. Wendy's willingness to confront this crucial matter provided clarity and reassurance that we are now on the right track.

Tolerance Saver Brocklynn!

I want to give kudos to Brocklynn for catching a WY appraisal that was requested to be quoted to be worse case pricing at $900, but the loan is close to a $3 million loan. She reached out the RM and questioned it and ended up talking with the appraisal team. The appraisal team suggested we quote between $5,000-$7,500. She opted for the higher end at $7,500. The final appraisal fee amount was $7,700. We went from what could have been a $6,800 tolerance to a $200 tolerance. NICE JOB!

A hacker tried to spoof Kris with an email asking to change wire instructions for a draw request. Kris sniffed this out and didn't touch the email that was questionable and picked up the phone and called the contractor. The contractor was so grateful because the email was fraudulent. If someone wasn't paying attention and not following process we could have lost 170,000.00 in this instance. Thank you Kris for being diligent in the process and reporting this. You are truly a rock star and I am grateful to have you on the construction team.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Megan LaPorta. We kicked off 2023 with Peer Audit reviews and she has spent ALOT of time creating a great report/form for our team to use in an effort to cover any audit issue that may come up. She is also leading the Peer Audit Coordination team for review of our monthly audits, and doing an amazing job of that as well. We ( CHL) are so lucky to have you as part of our team!! Those of us based at HQ are blessed with our very own social coordinator in Tanya Lattin. She regularly schedules and orchestrates potluck meals, with a side of Bingo. (Or is it actually a Bingo party with food?) She does a great job of wrangling busy people, managing the menu and setting up our space in the Harvest Hall, complete with cute seasonal decor! Having Tanya managing the logistics means the rest of us get to show up, show off our cooking skills and have a great time with friends. Thank you, Tanya, for all the work involved in making these events a great team building opportunity!
