This war took place in April 12-13, 1861. This was the first battle in the civil war, with many more to come. This battle lasted 36 hours, and it ended up with Anderson surrendering Fort Sumter to the Confederate Forces. This battle had zero casualties.

This battle was the first of two battles at Bull Run. It took place on July 21st, 1861. After a total of 4,878 casualties, with the Union having about 1,000 more casualties than the Confederates, they retreated from Bull Run, causing the Confederate to win.

The Second Battle of Bull Run happened through August 28-30, 1862. This time, the Union wanted revenge, although that did not go as planned. After a two day long war, the Union retreated, giving the Confederate the victory. In total, this war had 125,000 people fighting in it, and about 22,177 casualties.

The battle of Gettysburg took place through July 1st-3rd on 1864. This was deemed, the turning point of the war for the Union, as this was the last time they ever advanced north. During this war, Lee made a big mistake. He got impatient and charged downhill, giving the Union the high ground, which was a main factor in why the Confederate retreated. This was later called Pickett's Charge. After this unsuccessful battle, the Confederate retreated. Over 165,620 forces were engaged in this war, and there were about 51,112 casualties.

This battle took place in September 16th through 18th in 1862. This was the bloodiest one day battle. After three days, the Confederate retreated and it was called a tactical draw, although it was a strategic win for the Union due to Abraham Lincoln making the emancipation proclamation. About 132,00 forces were engaged and there were a total of 22,717 casualties.
