  •  He was forced onto Standing rock reservation by the united states government.
  • Something he faced in the west was people discriminating aginst him you can see that in his speech “keeping treaties”. 
  • Something that influenced his actions to protect his tribes land was that his ancestors have lived there for thousands of years.
  • One aspect of living in the great plains that influenced his actions to protect his tribes land was the U.S. army was taking their hunting grounds.
