         <description><![CDATA[<div>I will be teaching writing in a team next year and who knows what the future holds?  Will we need to teach remotely?  Plain and simple I would like to be prepared and felt this course would be just what I need.  I also want to be able to share what I learn with  the others on my team.  As I mentioned before, best teaching is not dependent on location.  These gleanings will support me whatever and wherever I teach.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>As an upcoming first year teacher I am always looking to add important tools to my “toolbox.” Working as a kindergarten paraeducator during the 2020-2021 school year gave me some insight into remote instruction, but our class didn’t really take the deep-dive into remote learning the way other educators had to this year. I will be teaching third grade next year, and I know that remote learning on the third-grade level will look much different than at the kindergarten level. I predict that I will gain valuable insight that I can apply to both my classroom instruction and any possible online instruction I might encounter next year. &nbsp;</div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>My learning goals are to gain new information and insight and connect with other educators.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1. How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?</strong><br>I am hoping that this year will be "back to normal" for the most part, however it may not be. If not, I want to make sure that I am better prepared to teach my students in a digital environment than I was this past year. The more "tools in the tool belt" that I can have and the more confident I can be with them then the better it will be for my students. I also am considering teaching online in higher education down the road, and so this is furthering the skills I will have to be able to do that more successfully as well.<br><br><strong>2. What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?</strong><br>My main goal of this course is to feel more confident with teaching remotely/online if I have to do it again.<br>Another goal I have is to know the most engaging ways to teach in this environment as well as the most beneficial/successful digital tools/activities to utilize with my students all the time - whether we are remote or not. I want to make sure I am giving my students digital activities and assignments that are genuinely beneficial as well as engaging to them any time!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I hope it will help me in working with students and teachers.&nbsp; This past year and a half we all had to transition to remote learning many different times throughout the school year, often with little to no advanced notice, given the circumstances.&nbsp; I predict this course will allow me to strengthen my skills as an educator and provide me with more skills and resources that will be relevant and practical that I can then use with my students. &nbsp;</div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;My intentions and goals for my learning are to be an active participant and become more confident in virtual learning as an educator, but also to learn some new ways to engage with students in the remote setting. &nbsp; I have worked as a school counselor in different locations from K-12 in the past year, so I am looking forward to connecting with others and hearing about their experiences as well!&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>1. I imagine this course will be valuable due to the cohort of teachers who are willing to continue to learn and hone their craft. Professionals who will share their ideas and be a sounding board for others in that same position-that is what will be truly valuable. 2. I am looking forward to exploring best practices for online pedagogy. However, I really want to determine which practices hold the most value for my students. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?</strong></div><div>I predict that this course will leave me equipped for any unexpected changes in the education field. Though last year was very tough with the transition to remote learning, I feel that I had the basic skills to handle the situation. I already knew how to use some tools such as Google classroom, flippgrid, quizlet, and quizizz among other apps. They helped me survive the pandemic.</div><div>This course will also teach me new tools and strategies that will help me to enrich my teaching and to assist the students in the learning process. From my understanding, sooner or later, the way we are teaching will fundamentally change. It’s good to be prepared for that now.</div><div><strong>What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?</strong></div><div>My goal is to learn how to incorporate new tools including technology and strategies so my students can learn better.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?</strong><br>This course is going to be extremely valuable for me and my new students in the fall. Teaching future teachers will be incredibly challenging, and including in our curriculum all of the new technology and tools that we have available to us given the last year's challenges is exciting. I'm excited to learn about all of the tips and tricks that all of you educators learned, as well as sharing things I picked up. I think that this is also the embodiment of what Elena Aguilar said in her article about honoring the reflection--you are affording us the opportunity to reflect!<br><strong>What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?<br></strong>I think one of my biggest goals is to learn as much as I can to then take back to my students--I'm excited by the new platforms that I haven't tried and think that intentionally building hybridity into my classes in the fall will only make my experiences with my students stronger. I think the idea of student self-regulation, and the ways that online teaching can strengthen this, will only benefit our college students in the future. I often see first year students who are not ready, and this feels like an exciting conversation to be had. I also have to pivot in the way I am teaching our future art educators so that they will be better prepared for whatever happens out there in the future, and this course will provide me with much more knowledge.<br><br></div>]]></description>

I predict that this course will be valuable because it will help increase my knowledge about the tools and resources that are available and how to best use them to reach my students where they are at. As an educator, I am always looking for ways to keep my students excited about learning and I feel as though the more ways I can deliver a lesson or present an assignment, the better I will be able to meet the needs of each of my students.<br><br>2. A goal of mine is to slow down and focus on bettering myself for my students. I hope to gain the knowledge necessary to be able to provide multiple avenues of success for my students. I believe that many of the resources that were successful during remote learning, can also be successful during in-person learning. I hope to be able to implement them in the future so that I can find what works best for each student.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I predict this course will be valuable in that it will force me to take the time to pause, reflect, and learn from so many choices made in the haste and stress of the pandemic. &nbsp;</div><div>In the midst of all the changes happening, my school also experienced a complete administration turn over, unexpected retirements, and a break from our SAU.&nbsp; More often than not, my role as the technology teacher shifted to teacher trainer, tech support, and systems administrator… my teaching and my students suffered as a result. &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I hope to use this class as a time to examine my own role, as a certified digital learning specialist.&nbsp; Is my role best utilized teaching students as a unified arts teacher?&nbsp; Training teachers?&nbsp; Co-teaching? I think I need to develop a commitment statement that provides for better focus and balance on the purpose of my own role as an educator.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Since I did not teach in the traditional K-12 capacity I am happy to learn from those that went through the process.<br><br>Goal: To update skills esp. technical skills that were developed my others over the last year and get a feel for how things went for others.
