Using Ziplock bags to separate meats and freeze pieces you won't be cooking that week (preventing meat from spoiling). Planning ahead also allows you to allocate specific days during your week for meal prepping (decreasing cooking times throughout the week).</p>]]></description>

To reduce feelings of eating the same thing everyday, try to have different sauces or slight variations that can be incorporated to help things taste "fresh". Additionally, if more financially secure, look into ordering groceries to reduce time spent grocery shopping. When shopping, buy staple ingredients that can be used for a variety of meals to cut down on costs (ex. bulk potatoes, rice, chicken, etc).</p>]]></description>

I don't blame families for being unable to overcome barriers. FREQUENT (at least 4x/week) community-based cooking programs for youth that learn to cook with ingredients, gain financial food literacy knowledge, and bring food for their families can address all 5 barriers, in the case where lack of time is due to working parents. </p>]]></description>
