However, in Malaysia teachers are allowed to mete out physical punisjments which force the students to behave and study in order to avoid being hit by rulers or other materials wielded by teachers in the classroom, as seen in Zhen Xi's comment.

I have learnt that this song not only criticises the old English education system, but can also be tied back to the Singaporean education system in many ways, including the restriction of creativity. In Singapore, people may find it weird when they see their classmates writing a poem, and they may be "judged". Though not to the extent of the video, the Singaporean system and environment in general discourages creativity and pursuit in the arts.

I have also managed to see some imagery that i did not spot at first, for example: I learnt that the scene where students fall into a meat grinder can symbolise the stress and upset the students face, thus committing suicide.
