After viewing the video clip, I'm wondering, what other tiny reminders (hotel shampoo, unicolor bandaids) of white privilege pop up throughout the day in a person of color's experience?

I felt reminiscent of my Peace Corps experience once one of the speakers brought up "first world privilege." I remember rolling my eyes at some of the news stories I was reading from America in 2011-2013, thinking, "Why are they even complaining?! Do they know how amazing even the WORST of the American experience is, in comparison to many places in Africa?" I recognize, however, that quality of life shouldn't be comparative--it shouldn't be, "Well, at least our life is better than in Africa..." At the time, however, it was really hard to be empathic.
