         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mutualism: Exists between the manzanita plant and the coyotes and foxes that eat its seeds. Commensalism:<br>The Red-Winged Blackbird builds its nests in the chaparral's reeds. The reeds do not benefit from this, but the Red-Winged Blackbird benefits by having a place to live.<br>Parasitism:<br>The Pacific Coast Tick latches itself onto the San Joachin Kit Fox for food. The Pacific Coast Tick benefits from getting food from the San Joachin Kit Fox, but the San Joachin Kit Fox is hurt because the tick transfers diseases into it's bloodstream and sucks up it's blood. </div>]]></description>

Another example is the Olive Tree. The tree is a very common plant in the Chaparral. It thrives off of the environments climate because it makes its produce healthier. </div>]]></description>
