We can infer the echoing green is a very old field, because on the evidence given by the text “such, such, were the joys when we were all—girls and boys— In our youth time were seen On the Echoing Green.” This shows that the field is very old because old john with white hair has played on the field when he was young. We can tell that he is old because he has white hair which shows that he is very old. The reason we can infer that the echoing green is a field is because the children are playing sports, and we know you can not play sports on mountains because , that is very dangerous especially for children.. We can also infer that they are not in a ocean because the are not swimming in the ocean. In conclusion we infer the echoing green in a nice, old green field that is very popular for children the play sports.

We can infer that the title is called the Echoing green because all of the old people’s memories were coming back to them. For example, the word “echoing” means something coming back to them and that something in this case is the memories. The word Green is the field we’re they had all those memories. We know they had memories there because in the second stanza it states “Such, such were the joys When we all girls and boys In our youth time were seen On the echoing Green.” That is why we can infer that they titled the story “The Echoing Green.”

We think this because and echo is when you say something and then you hear that same thing. And the echoing green echos the past of these older people. It also brings the joy of being outdoors. This is why we think the echoing green is called the echoing green because it echoes the past.
