         <description><![CDATA[<p>Jackie Robinsons opportunity came in 1966 when Governor Rockfeller asked him to become a member of his Executive Chamber as Special Assistant to the Governor of Community Affairs. Although Robinson vowed to never take a full-time political job, he felt the position would hold up an important challenge. The Governor announced his appointment in Albany, New York in February, 1966.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After departing the military, Jackie  then signed a deal with a minor league team called the Montreal Royals. He played on the team for a while and earned a lot of respect for his talent. Later on during his career with Montreal, he talked to the Brooklyn Dodgers president, Branch Rickey and then eventually he signed with the Dodgers and was the first black male to be in the MLB.</p>]]></description>

He eventually surmounted these situations and earned much respect. He established a new trend,  because he created a new path for black athletes, a few years later more black players joined the league.</p>]]></description>
