We think that it could be very powerful. But in the wrong hands, it could be very bad for the world as we know it. Criminals could alter their faces on videos and pose as politicians to make statements that could put us all in danger. (ex. jordan peele acting as barack obama) We think that people 3D printing face masks is stupid because we believe that the feds aren't watching us. It could be used against the government. Criminals could walk around with these masks and avoid a warrant out for their arrest.

Facial recognition can be very useful in the future for things like tracking criminals or easily unlocking your phone. In the future, that technology can be used more often. It is very beneficial but can also be used in the wrong ways. As long as facial recognition is used in the right way, it can be very beneficial to us in the future as it is being used more frequently. It is similar from portraits that emerged from the "Dutch and Baroque" Era because it uses the same grids that were originally made in that era. What is different is back then they don't have the facial recognition technology that we do now.

Facial recognition can be used it helpful for lots of things like identifying people for criminal activities, or for unlocking your phone. I believe that facial recognition also has a lot of potential for future technology. But facial recognition can also be negative if used in the wrong way. But if facial technology is used in the right way it would be very beneficial.

We believe that facial recognition will play a large and important in the fundamentals of future society. We are already seeing new developments of facial recognition in the technology industry, like the face scan on the newest smart phones. The more advanced technology becomes, the more people will use it.

The topic of facial recognition is getting larger throughout the media. News channels, blogs, and just everyday citizens are buzzing about the topic. So, our table’s thoughts on the idea of this new technology. As of now, the idea of facial recognition is at its early stage. Throughout time, this will be implemented within everything that involves technology. Getting bigger and stronger with every face it finds. We, in the future, will most likely need that for basic everyday activities such as unlocking your house door, paying for something at a store, etc. Facial recognition will be a fundamental part of our lives, no doubt about it.

There are arising similarities that the facial recognition we have now and the self-portraits/portraits from the Dutch and Baroque Era. One of the major ones is that they both use the same grid to map out the humans' face. Putting dots at each focal/high point of the face like the eyes, nose, lips, etc. A difference would be the usage of each. Back then, it was used strictly for faces. That’s because there was no technology back then to even think about facial recognition. Now, we use it to unlock our phones, purchasing items. It has even replaced in most cases passwords for social media and apps on our phones. In little circumstances, it is used for its initial purpose.
