The first story in the first unit for grade 10 was TOUGH. It was a rough way to start.
Access to chromebooks for testing was a BIG challenge. I have had a hard time getting chromebooks to try out anything else in Pearson Realize because the carts are always booked.
This has been an adjustment for me too because I feel like I am not really teaching...so much is out of the book. It doesn't feel like there is a lot of room for creativity and it seems like it is the "same old, same old" every day.
I do really like how it forces the kids to interact with text.

Students are not fond of the selections in the first unit.  They do not find them exciting and do not capture their interest.  They think there must think there are more interesting pieces out there for teens.  I happen to agree.  

I do like the consumables, but would like a master print resource guide to use for planning.  

It has been an adjustment because since we have been asked to use the book as our curriculum, we have lost some of the creativity as a teacher that we had and it is getting boring!! :(
