It is important that we make careful decisions to include books that are diverse so that young readers see themselves and can also learn about cultures different from their own.  For ELL's this could mean bringing in books that are bilingual.

Students draw a card and give five words relating to the prompt. I like this because it is quick, and not a super intimidating way to practice vocabulary. This also linked to some Quizlet quizzes that students could use for vocabulary. What is great about this resource is that students or teachers can change the levels at which the text is at, but students are getting the same content. I thought this was so cool because you click on an element and it takes you to comics that that element is mentioned. Students can practice their reading skills, and may be more motivated if they are a reluctant reader in the first place. I think this is a great place for students to explore and learn about the world around them outside of the United States. This is way to introduce other cultures into the classroom.

I personally, like to do brainstorming bubbles by hand, but not everyone likes that. As society moves forward all students should be well aware of basic technology skills. As we all know it is imperative for many jobs that we know how to use technology. Students can practice their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills all while using technology tools like the ones I have researched. If we can integrate content and language learning with the technology standards students will be on track to be successful. 

I chose to look at the "Cogs of the Cognitive Processes" by Kathy Schrock. She revised the well-known Bloom's Taxonomy and made it more relatable. It shows how one can move between new skills, but they are all interlocked with each other.
