Mimi's Lantern-
What worked on my lantern was the design. For example, the end tassels, it was easy and looks pretty good. What didn't work as well was assembling the whole project all together, it was very hard and there were a lot of adjustments I had to make.

What worked on my lantern was the colors and assembly. It wasn't hard to put together and I liked how the colors go together. What didn't work was glitter glue because it is very messy. and hard to get off.

The design was pretty easy to make and all of the colors I chose were available. One problem was the glue it kept on sliding which made it hard to put it together but besides that it was pretty simple.

What worked in my work were the colors that give me an idea about the Chinese New Year: red, and orange. What didn't work, I think, would be the ribbon that I put on it and I cut it not so cimetrically, but from there it turned out pretty.

Most everything that I tried worked, but the glitter glue was very hard to spread and was a little messy. Although my lantern my not look the best it encompasses many aspects of the Chinese New Year with the rice balls filled with veggies and the dragon.

I liked making this design. It was very time consuming but very enjoyable. I tried to add a mountain background underneath the cylinder things. But unfortunately, it didn't show up. I did find the last step of gluing the last piece together the hardest part of the process.

What worked in my work, were the folds so I can combine each piece together nicely. What didn't work were the cuts I made, making it look a little cricked.

The first part of the lantern (the little roll thinges) took a very long time because of all the small details. I could've modified it to better use my time. Other than that, everything else went well!

What worked on my project was the color and the shapes. It was easy to put it together. Also was very helpful to have all the materials I needed in hand. One hard part was the gluing process it moved around a lot.

What worked on my lantern was drawing the fire and goose on first before cutting it. What didn't work was putting the inner lantern tube in and connecting the lantern together. It was very difficult since the lantern pieces didn't want to stay together.

What worked on my lantern was creating it first and than scaling down the water color head to fit the lantern. What didn't work was tying and gluing the red fan papers down. The glue wasn't sturdy enough and resulted in having to wait for them to dry.

What worked was assembling the basic structure. It was pretty easy and I didn't have trouble doing it. What didn't work is that I put the gems on the handle but it weighed it down and didn't work.

what worked was getting the base and the top together i had some trouble making it but it came together. What didn't work was the back because there is a bald spot in the back i also couldn't get the strands at the bottom as a pattern with colors

what worked was making the individual pieces of the star. I got the hang of it and the process was repetitive, so it was pretty easy. What didn't work as well was gluing all the pieces together, the glue wasn't holding it together very well but eventually I got it.

My project went fairly well. It's simple and that's what's best about it. The colors compliment each other but I do wish the red color on the inside was more visible. What didn't work out was the amount of glue added. I put way too much glue and that was NOT a good idea.

One thing I liked about this project was making the lantern. Making the table and submitting everything on canvas was mostly east too. Gluing everything together was not easy and cutting some parts were also hard. It was hard to make everything stink together. But I liked the project.

My project went really well and one thing that I liked about my project was making the butterfly's, flowers, and the flag. But gluing everything was hard and also the putting the flowers in the inside of the box was hard, but the thing that didn't work was making the lantern standing by itself but eventually I was patience and found a solution to it.

I really liked doing this if did it again it would come out way better. It was really hard at the end because there was so much force from the paper trying to go back to being flat on the glue but I reinforced it with a paper clip.

Something that went well was the gluing because i thought it wouldnt stay together with regular glue but it did. Another thing that went well was the measuring i thought that would be harder than it was. Something i would do differently was customizing it a little more and also better time management because i wasnt able to finish in time.

Something that didn't work too well was getting the watercolor paper to fold over and look sort of puffed out. Something that did go well was the little fireworks that I drew (hard to see in picture). I like the way the fireworks came out and how minimalistic it looks.

Something that didn't work was the front layer of paper with the folds was flat after I glued it. I needed to carefully separate it, then shorten the height where I originally glued it so the flaps can fold out more. One thing that did work out was that it only needed two sheets of paper and there was little to no waste!

I had a hard time cutting the lines perfectly without a ruler. I wanted to make it bigger but I am happy with the end result

I enjoyed making this, albeit time consuming. Going into it i had no clue what I was doing since I was just making stuff up as I went along. The part i liked the most was quickly sketching the geese and painting them.

I enjoyed making some parts of the lantern, but I feel I could've done better on the measuring part to make the pieces more even to be able to align them better. I had no clue what I was doing but I think it looks pretty decent in the end.

What worked for me was actually getting the measurements right in a way to actually build up the lantern and getting the paper to fold the correct way with the sizing of it. Something that didn’t work was just having the patients to glue down the papers together, it was hard to structure it the way I wanted it to be and cutting out my design on the water color paper.

What worked for me was the folding and cutting of the paper. What didn't work as well was the unfolding and gluing. While unfolding, my lantern tore a bit so I had to fix that. The glue also took a long time to dry.

What worked for me was cutting out all the pieces and getting them on the lantern. Two things did not work for me where my measurements were off, and my glue placement was bad. But overall I had fun.

What worked for me was the gluing and putting the final piece together. What didn't work for me the cutting and trying to make it look exactly in the video. But at the end i think that it didn't matter because it didn't need to look "perfect".

My whole goal was to give it a bleeding look. I was originally gonna draw on the outside of the lantern but doing a red cylinder on the inside gave it really cool contrast on top of the red strings on the bottom.

Hi, this is not my lantern but from what I could see he/she most likely used a bigger piece of paper or two, to give it that popping affect. I feel like if he/she didn't get there measurements right it could have been a little harder to put together.

What really worked for me was doing the cutting very symmetrically and lining up very easily. I like the colors I uses but wish I could've used more colors in my project and add smaller details into my drawing. I wish I could've also done at a bigger scale. Something is really missing but don't really know how to fix it.

This is my lantern it was a lot of work. A lot of the time i did not like how the things turned out but it started to look better when i started to put everything together. One of the hardest part was making it stick together. All in the end it turned out wonderful

This is my Lunar Lantern. What worked for me was the gluing and putting the lantern altogether. What didn't work for me was cutting and folding the lantern to make it all come together. But I overall enjoyed crafting it, and I am happy with the end result.
