1. Avoid labeling
2. Try to remain courteous
3. Tell them it’s the misbehavior you dislike not them!
4. Remain calm 
5. Keep a positive attitude
6. When really needed, speak to the student privately.
7. Listen and acknowledge what the students have said.
8. Redirect students to the task at hand.
9. Defer to a future conversation.
