Chocolate has been priced since the past. It is mentioned for the first time in the civilizations of Maya, Indians and the Aztecs, which they regarded as the food of the gods. The word chocolate itself is derived from the astonishing word xocolatl - bitter water. They considered her aphrodisiac and attributed her healing properties. According to the legend, the Ascension ruler Montezuma always drank 50 chocolate bars before leaving the harem. Hot or cold water was put into a grated cocoa bean, and the spices were varied: ground:vanilla, honey, corn and various flowers. Chocolate drinks were added to meals, drank in various occasions, at ceremonies, and during rituals.

It arrived in Europe with Columbus's help about 1500. As Europeans were overwhelming, they made recipes to their own tastes and began to add sugar, cinnamon and honey. It conquered Spain, Italy and France, considered to be a luxury and was reserved for noblemen and rich people. When in the second half of the seventeenth century asked whether chocolate was a food or drink, the Church gave it the answer: compared the chocolate and the wine, which was considered a drink with nutritional value. And so chocolate has officially become a drink for women, such as cabbage for men in certain parts of Western Europe. It was only during the 18th century that it was available to everyone in various shapes, pieces, sticks, pasta or beverage with the addition of wine, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla ...
