Now the real fun begins , it’s important to keep in mind that one of the objectives with this process is to keep things spontaneous, once you’ve cut your pages , do not ‘arrange’ the order of your spreads , do not change their orientation,in fact don’t even look at them yet, one thing I like to do is to shuffle the spreads like a deck of cards , that way you really loose control of the order of things.
from what I’ve seen online there are some very cool collage sheets, and you will be pleasantly surprised once the books are bound!

I’m self taught, my relationship to picture making comes from a place of exploration and invention rather than comfortably relying on techniques that I’ve learned directly from teachers, to grow I need to invent , it’s a way to compensate for my lack of classical technique.
In this class I will show you a few ‘inventions’ that I’ve come up with to make pictures , there’s nothing radical or particularly brilliant about them , but they are fun to use and they help me to keep me focused and interested in drawing.

This is the final class , now you know everything I know, I don’t have much else to teach you unless you want to learn how to pick the banjo as poorly as I do.
I’m really impressed by the overall level of the work I’ve seen, I hope that you’ve gotten something out of these sessions , I sure have.
Lately I’ve come to the understanding that at our basic artistic core there lies a central idea which we work on our entire lives, like a mantra it repeats and inserts itself into every creative thing we do,
I observe this in the work that you’ve posted these weeks, some call it ‘personality’ others call it ‘style’  I like to think of it as our Muse guiding us, take care of your Muse,always listen to it, always feed it.
