One of my favorite activities I have used this month has been our sight-reading challenge with grades 4 and 5. Students start off in easy mode and use rhythm sticks to play along to the play-along video. Then the videos get progressively harder. We have a chance to discuss what has changed, discuss the rhythms they are playing, and how to say them. Then we play and keep going until it gets to its hardest level.

Easy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEOTsPUUvsY
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxWPvSp1_qA
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ouGEgSF9MM
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVdgaJzVyY8

Medium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJg2Ogq_zM4
                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfsbOK7dcvk&t=1s
                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDUr57AMJTo
                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CixMNPbHik&t=14s

Hard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drzvpPziDWQ
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSHWM5TIF30
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reLU7rF7N_Q
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyYDKJrqBZg

You can use any instruments you have.
