Hey! So what do you think of this PD day on Monday? I wasn't really sure I was excited about it, but then it hit me last night...how am I going to teach these kids without making sure I am taught?!

I mean, I remember as a student listening to teachers go on and on about how lucky we were to have a 3 day weekend and how they were going to have to sit inside in meetings all day. Is that really true? I mean I am looking forward to the one about new strategies for dealing with behaviors in the classroom. I think it could really help with some of things that I am dealing with now.

Anyway, I guess I am just looking for reassurance that I am not the only weird one who is looking forward to PD and really trying to take the chance to make sure that I have the best and most up to date knowledge. I mean, maybe it is a new teacher thing, and maybe I'll feel different after I have been out of school longer, but it just seems like such a great way to keep on track of things. To make sure that I have the best ways and ideas to help my students. Who knows maybe I am crazy...maybe I just like learning! Either way I suppose there is nothing wrong with being a student and a teacher!
