This poster is saying that the US army needs more people to help dig trenches. This is more of a persuasion because Uncle Sam is trying to get more people in the war but it is not stating an argument about Germany or something like that. It's trying to get strong men to join to help the Americans build trenches in France. It may not be the most appealing poster that catches your eye but it does show that the army could use more hands.

This poster appeals to the public because it is about the Red Cross, has a nice pretty background, and the words have a fancy font. It catches the eye and then it guilt-trips you into wanting to donate by saying, “All you need is a heart and a dollar” as if you don’t have a heart if you’re able to spend but not willing. This impacts the public who realizes that the Red Cross is out there and still striving to heal everyone injured. Those injured have families, and there might be a viewer who sees it who is that family. It would impact them on an emotional level. The Red Cross is a nonprofit and was that way in World War I. This is a definite concern for both the organization and society because soldiers would die due to treatable injuries, which would substantially hurt the families of America.

This poster appeals to the American public because George Washington and the minutemen are symbols of America and it's military strength. The emotional aspect comes in with the text at the bottom of the image that says "The Spirit Still Lives". This symbolizes the military fighting spirit that often runs through generations of american families. Instead of trying to change the societal norms it's trying to reinforce the American military spirit.

This poster was used to get men to join the Tank Corps. It appealed to the public because it advertised getting an eduction from joining the tank Corps. The poster may have impacted the person reading it because it shows a person who is seemingly ver passionate about working on the tanks. My poster reflects broader social concerns or changes in life in the US as a result of US participation in World War 1 by showing advancements in technology.

This poster appeals to the public because some people wanted to contribute in the war but not go into the direct combat. This was the perfect way for some people who were good at knitting to contribute to the war. Soldiers were always walking through mud and they would always need to change their socks so this was very important so they wouldn't get foot diseases. Most women would knit and then men would go to war. This was smart because this got everyone involved.

It was trying to encourage men to enlist in the war to help people like this women and child.

This is a persuasive poster, it is showing that people are dying and it is trying to convince Americans to join the war. It uses personal, emotional, and moral appeal to convince an audience this idea.

Its persuading because they bold the words that show how you could be successful in the Army. It says a strong man needs courage and trains the mind.
