She also knocked the last standing up thing over because it housed her prize clock, which was now broken. That's also why she cried, because of the epiphany she had that this was a reality. She also screamed at the thought that she would have to house such a devil and that what he could do was terrifying.

The Third Tale is the most connecting to Conor, we see that he hates not being seen by the other people. The monster influences his outrage against Harry as from Conor's perspective the monster beat up Harry but from everyone else's perspective, Conor had taken on every action the monster had committed. This shows the monster is a figment of his imagination and that Conor may have mental issues involving active hallucination.

The First Tale resembles how his father had basically killed his mother by divorcing and leaving for America when she got sick and just like the prince did it for the good of the kingdom or the family in this case and has trouble with the grandmother or the queen in this case how shows to be a little evil. The Second Tale resembles Lily and Conor and how she's only nice to him when she wants something out of him as shown when she tries to get him to apologize to her. The Third Tale resembles Conor pretty in a present state, this Tale actually gets Conor to act out the things the Monster's doing. He's acting like a monster because of his feelings toward being an invisible and unseen person. This scene also reveals some conflict between Harry and Conor and that the Monster may just be a figment of Conor's imagination.

I feel like not adding Lily in where she needs to be to develop Conor's character more is disappointing. Lily has contributed to Conor's actions throughout all of the book and it shows in the end. Maybe she's in later of the movie but it wouldn't make sense because all of the key interactions she was supposed to have with Conor up to the second tale have been skipped over and missed.

I would add Lily to the movie because she portrays a massive role to Conor's early and late character. At the beginning we knew that Conor had it out for her and we learned why in the middle of the story. And after Conor beating Harry up, Conor is left feeling lonely because everyone sees him as a threat. But Lily reassures his character with the note and developed his character even more.
