Recap in your own words: To fortify the two hills and take high ground, they get ready for battle. The colonists tried to take the hills but the British go to fight for it. They are waiting for the British to march closer, and then shoot them(ammo is bad). They retreated because of no ammo, and lost the hills. 
Who won and why: The colonists take this lost, and retreat losing the hills. But, the British lost thousands of their army so it's like a  win lose.
