For Lana Del Rey's 'Born to Die' album advert uses the album cover image for the whole of the advert, so there is no extra images used or a different colour scheme. Her name is the largest piece of text feature on the advertisement which follows the conventions of adverts as it places the artist as the most important feature on the advert.

The advert follows the artist's synergy as Lana Del Rey is known for wearing white throughout the majority of her music videos and pictured wearing white on her album covers. She is also know for her red hair and red lipstick which is also used as synergy.

The font used is a bold capitalised sans-serif typeface that is used across all of her album covers. The use of blue and white for the text works well with the image used on the advert as the main colours in the image are blue and white, so there is an obvious colour scheme being used for the advertisement.
The artist's name is at the top of the advert with the title of the album placed underneath the artist's head. This is followed by the release date and title's of songs that are featured on the album. This is make the artist's fans aware of the release date of the album so they know when it is available for purchase. In the bottom corners of the advert, there is the Amazon advert and the record label. This could be to show that the album is available to buy on Amazon and that the artist is represented by that record label.

Another convention that this advert follows is the placement of the artist's website at the bottom of the advert. This is so the artist's fans know that they can access the website to find out news on the album and any information related to it, this is used for some marketing purposes.

This Panic! At The Disco advert follows a lot of magazine advertisement conventions. The band's name is the largest text on the advert so it stands out as a feature to focus on. There is also the band's website link at the bottom of the advert to send fans to the website to find out more information. The band's record labels are also featured on the advert to be represented. Another convention that this magazine advert follows is the use of synergy. In all of Panic! At The Disco's music videos and on their album covers, the lead singer is always wearing a suit, particularly a black suit on their album covers. This is continued on this magazine advert as they have used the album cover as the image for the advertisement.

The font used is a mixture of sans- serif and serif but they work well together as it makes the key words on the advert stand out. The image is black and white with a cloud on bright multi-coloured smoke that contrasts nicely against the black and white. The colour of the font keeps with the colour scheme as it is all black and white text with a peach colour used for the release dates.

Ed Sheeran's magazine advert for '+' follows very simple conventions by featuring the digipak cover and including the website link. The advert has a clear colour scheme of black, white and orange, the orange making the album cover stand out against the black background of the advert.

The element of synergy used is the paw print next to the artist's name. Ed Sheeran is known for having a paw print sticker on his guitar when he performs and a few of his videos feature cats, so there is synergy across his live performances, his music videos and his album covers. The typewriter-like serif font used is continuous on his website and in his videos.

This advert compared to the others I have analysed lacks the most conventions such as the use of a record label and featuring songs on the album. However, the simplicity of the advert suits the artist as his fans know him to be quite simple across his album cover art as he usually uses one bold colour and a numerical sign.
