I would set up the classroom and supplies for this activity by gathering the paper, paint brushes and paint to a table, ask the children to come and see what we will be painting today.

I would introduce this activity by asking first if they know what the sun set looks like, and get them to imagine or show them a picture and paint along by their side.

I would say to the children during the activity, that it does not need to be perfect, that they are also experimenting while having fun painting.

If a child started painting another child, I would tell them they should keep their hands to their selves and that your aren’t supposed to paint people, and if they started to eat the paint, id tell them that it is not edible and tell them to remember that the next time.

1. I will set up the the tables in the daycare put chairs and get all the paint brushes and paints and some water ready

2. First i will say that we are making a sunset out of water paints and were gonna use only 3 colours

3. I will say these 3 colours can also turn into a different colours like introducing them of mixing colours can make a different colour

4. I will say if they tries to put paint to other kids to keep there hands to there selfs and not to put them in their mouth cause its not edibles

1, I would cover the table first, bring out the paint brushes,paint and some paper that they are doing some painting.

2, I will tell the children that they are doing some painting today and we are using 3 colours only.

3, I will tell them that we are doing some magical colours using 3 colours to make different colours by mixing the colours and there is no mistake in this painting.

4, I will explain that we aren’t allowed to paint someone else’s painting and paint is not a food that we aren’t allowed to put them in our mouth.

1. I will set the tables with all the supplies needed and apron for the children’s

2. I would show them this painting I made, and teach them about the different colours is used, ask the kids tp soak the paper and when its done I will ask them to start painting.

3. I will tell them ‘this is an interesting way of painting’ and that it will look so cool. And I will teach them more techniques for this painting.

4. I would put away their paintings and ask them to wash up and tell them it is not a good idea to do that to our friends, then I will let them do something else.

If I were to set up a painting day I would plan the activity with my colleagues. We would work together and set up the area by cleaning the space, make sure we have all the proper equipment available. We would work together and talk to the children what we will be making also guide them to use which colour. If a child accidentally put paint in the clothing we would say ‘oh no’ and remind them it’s okay it will wash away and after the Painting activity we can change the child’s clothing.
