BACHELOR OF ISLAMIC REVEALED KNOWLEDGE AND HERITAGE (USUL AL-DIN AND COMPARATIVE RELIGION)

By Islamic revealed knowledge is meant knowledge of the wahy, which is the type of knowledge that was made known to mankind by Allah through his messengers. For the Prophet Muhammad's ummah (Pbuh), this knowledge is preserved in the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet (Pbuh).

By heritage is meant the Muslim intellectual heritage in written and oral forms that contains efforts by Muslim scholars to understand and interpret the Qur'an and hadith and relate them to realities in space and time. 

By usul al-din is meant the branch of study that considers the issues of faith, beliefs, thoughts and ideology based on the Qur'an and hadith and the intellectual heritage thereof.

By comparative religion is meant a field of study in which various religions are analysed in comparison to each other in terms of beliefs, ethics and practices.

This bachelor programme is managed collaboratively by IIUM CRESCENT and PERGAS.

IIUM CRESCENT's academic calendar is a trimester calendar with 3 terms in one academic year. The first term of the year is from September to December. The second term is from January to April and the third term is from May to August. Each term consists of 15 weeks.
