Life was better when technology was simpler. To what extent do you agree and disagree?

+ opinions are divided on
+ radically improve: phát triển theo hướng tiêu cực
+ granted = obviously
+ has inevitably(=certainly) led to
+ undermining people’s relationships
(make sth weaker)
+ in moderation: một cách điều độ
+ To add further credence to my assertion: thêm dẫn chứng vào lập luận
+ enhanced numerous other aspects of life
+ relieved (=decrease) large proportions of the world population of the constant day-to-day struggle
+ relieve sb of: giải tỏa ai khỏi cái gì
+ facilitated(v): tạo điều kiện cho cái gì
+ misused(v): dùng sai cách

Opinions are divided on whether life had more benefits before the advent of modern technology. From my perspective, I think that certain aspects of life were seemingly better without technological tools, however, our life has been radically improved with technological advances.
Granted, the last generation prejudice(định kiến) that their society was meaningful while technology was simple. For instances, the elder now usually complain that modern people depend too much on communication tools such social media sites. This dependence has inevitably led to struggle to have a face-to-face conversation, potentially undermining people’s relationships. However, without modern communication advances, people previously had to resort to letters to keep close contact because of geographical barriers. This could take long time for a person to receive a letter, but people nowadays can instantly call or text each other via social networking sites. If used in moderation, these advanced communication tools can close the gap, greatly improving their relationships.
To add further credence to my assertion, I will show how technology has evidently enhanced numerous other aspects of life. First and foremost, with advanced irrigation systems (hệ thống tưới tiêu) and the use of pesticides, crop yields have been improved exponentially (theo cấp số nhân). The abundance of food in most parts of the world declines starvation and hunger, and so relieved large proportions of the world population of the constant day-to-day struggle to survive. Furthermore, improvements in medical technology mean that patient are treated more effectively, thereby lasting life expectancy. Finally, the internet has facilitated teleworking and online learning, allowing a great number of people to pursue their educational or professional goals. This greatly contributes to satisfy people.
In conclusion, technology, albeit(=although) potentially creating some problems if misused, has undoubtedly made modern life much better when compared to the past.
