Image Resolution- It describes the number of pixels in an image, or the amount of detail an image holds

Megabyte- It is a unit of measurement that describes the size of a digital file.

Megapixel-  It refers to the size of an image, and is equal to one million pixels

Gigabyte- It is a unit of data storage capacity, roughly equal to a billion bytes

JPEG- Joint Photographic Experts Group, it is a type of  image file format

Raw- They are photos that are not yet processed, so they aren’t ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor

Tiff- Tag Image File Format, it is a common format used for exchanging raster graphics images between application programs 

Png- Portable Network Graphics, a file format used for image compression 

White Balance- It is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, so that objects that appear white in person show up as white in the photo

Histogram- A graph that represents the tonal values of your image, it shows you the amount of tones of particular brightness found in your photograph 

Aperture- It determines the size of your cameras opening which determines the amount of light let through, it can also affect your photos exposure.

Shutter speed- The length of time when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light, or the amount of light that reaches the film, it can also affect the exposure

Depth of field- It is the distance in the plane of focus where objects appear, shallow depth only the subject is clear, deep depth the entire area is in focus

Aperture priority- It is the setting on a mode dial that allows the user to set a specific aperture

Shutter priority- It is the setting on a mode dial that allows the user to choose a specific shutter speed 

Bitmap- It is a commonly used raster graphic format for saving image files

Exposure- It is the amount of light per unit area reaching a photographic film, determined by the shutter speed, aperture, and scene luminance

Watermarking- It is a kind of marker that is used to identify ownership of the copyright of such signal

Optical zoom-  It is a true zoom lens, like the kind of lens you’d use on a film camera

Digital zoom- A function on a digital camera used to make the image seem more close-up

Bracketing- A technique of taking several shot of the same subject and using different camera settings

Light meter- It is a device used to measure the amount of light, it is also used to determine the proper exposure of an image

Image stabilization- A family of techniques that reduces blurring associated with the motion of a camera

Noise- It is the term used to describe visual distortion in a photo

Lag time- The delay between triggering the shutter when the photograph is actually recorded

Hot shoe- It is a mounting point on the top of a camera to attach a flash unit 

Fisheye- It is a lens that is an ultra wide angle lens that produces a strong visual distortion intended to create a wide panoramic

Macro- A type of photography that is about photographing objects that are close to the lens

Telephoto- A specific type of a long focus lens in which the physical length of the lens in shorter than the focal length

Wide angle- A type of lens, and it refers to the focal length that is smaller than the focal length of a normal lens

DSLR- Digital Single-Lens Reflex, a digital camera 

Dynamic range- The range of light that intensifies from the shadow to the highlights

Exposure compensation- The technique for adjusting the exposure indicated by a photographic exposure meter
