This part of the brain performs higher functions like emotions, fine movements, speech and interpreting touch. Halsey would need this during her performance as her Cerebrum was used to sing the song as she needed the capability of speech to do so. Along with this the Cerebrum is needed for when she is painting, as the strokes of the brush require the fine motor skills provided by the Cerebrum.

The brainstem controls many of the automatic functions of the body, such as breathing, heart rate, and body temp. The brainstem was used in this performance because she was very much alive and breathing, also she was maintaining homeostasis on stage so she was using the brainstem.

This was used in the performance as she had to concentrate to use speech and also judgement to plan the painting and singing at the same time.

The temporal lobe is used to understand language, memory , hearing along with sequencing and organization. Halsey used her temporal lobe to perform this piece as she had to remember the lyrics of the song she was singing, along with that she had to hear the beat and sequence it with her singing. She also used the temporal lobe to paint and sign at the same time as it took a great deal of organization to do.

This was used during the performance because to paint the painting she had to use her fingertips to grip the brush in a certain way that would allow her to make these strokes.
