Satire is using humor at times when it shouldn't be there, such as exposing other people. It is also a form of mocking someone when it is clearly not needed. The important features of this genre include irony and dry humor that use more "tragic" events as a joke or are used to be mocked.

The Fourth Dimension, which doesn't exist on earth, makes time 3 dimensional, instead of linear, which allows people to move around in time. It exists in many science fiction novels, such as Slaughterhouse Five, where the Tralfamadorians exist in the fourth dimension and Billy Pilgrim can move around in time when he interacts with them.

We think that PTSD might be a cause of the flashbacks and time travels that occur in Slaughterhouse Five. The inability to control episodes is similar to PTSD, although often times there is a trigger for PTSD, such as loud noises or quick movements. Traveling to other worlds helps Billy to rationalize the horrors he saw during war, because it gives reasoning for all the bad things he saw.
