Taboo was like the communication process in the sense that there was a sender and receiver. The sender has to encode the message and figure out how they want to get it across to the receiver. In Taboo, they figure out how to explain a concept without using specific words. The receiver decodes the message to understand it in their own way. In Taboo, the receiver of the message has to understand the message and figure out what concept the sender is describing.

During the game "Taboo", the sender encodes, or codes due to past experiences, a message. The receiver then has to decode, or "translate" due to past experiences, the message. Afterwards, he receiver has to send feedback, ensuring the sender they got and understood the message sent.

In the game Taboo it was difficult because the sender( the person sitting in the chair ) couldn't use certain words to describe the word that was on there card. The sender had to encode what they were going to tell their team. The team ( the people trying to guess what the sender is saying) difficulty was that they were trying to receive what the sender was trying to send them. They had to decode what the sender was sending them.

In Taboo, one person was suppose to send/encode a message to the players on his or her's team so that they can try to decode what they really wanted to say. The receivers were the ones to decode the message and of they did so their team would receive a point. The sender struggled a lot due to not being able to use certain words or make any gestures. Sender encodes a message, the receivers decode the message, simply the way communication works which is the connection between Taboo and communication.
