After researching I have found two college courses that I may be interested in applying to. One is BA Drawing at Camberwell. The other is BA Fine Art at Chelsea. Both are in UAL.

BA Drawing is an art course at Camberwell College of the Arts. This course explores drawing in a new way at which drawing as an extension of thinking. To develop an understanding of the subject and how it can be used in other ways other than just portraits and art pieces. In maths and science and architecture for example. 

BA Fine Art is an art course at Chelsea College of the Arts. This course you can work alongside internationally respected artists and writers. Bringing together a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, film and video, digital media, sound, print, performance and drawing. 

I am very interested in both of these courses because I am currently on a Fine Art course and I would want to carry on, on an art course. My favorite part of art is drawing and I am therefore extremely intrigued by the BA Drawing course. However, it is not just drawing within art and I am uninterested in in architecture and drawing within maths. The BA Fine Art course would be good because it would extend off of my course now and take me further in all types of media; however I would not be drawing as much as I may like to. 

Unfortunately, on the UAL website, where I found this information, it doesn't state the fees of these courses. To become a tattoo artist  you must complete an apprenticeship. To get an apprenticeship you must ask local tattooists if they will be willing to undertake you as a trainee. They will ask to see a portfolio so they can see your ability and decide if you are talented enough to become a trainee in their business. To be a tattoo artist you must be a talented artist, be happy with working with needles, have a steady hand and attention to detail. You do not need any specific qualifications to become a tattoo artist, just an apprenticeship. The salary is £15,000 to £32,000 and upwards, depending on where you work, the popularity of the place you work and your skill. This job is suitable for me to apply for once I am 18 and have finished my second year in college, I could create a portfolio and ask tattoo shops if they would be willing to give me an apprenticeship. 

The second job is an Art teacher in a Secondary school. To become an art teacher you must have a degree in art and design (or a similar subject) and a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Therefore I would have to go to University; unlike being a tattoo artist. To be an art teacher you need to be a talented artist, work well with youths, have patience and be prepared for hard work and preparation. The salary is around between £20,000 to £35,000. 

Both jobs would take a long time to earn a lot of money because the better you are at them the more money you will then earn, and your skill improves the longer you are at the job. Most tattoo artists are self employed which means that you would have to work everything out yourself or employ someone to do it. An Instagram account that promotes an artist and their work is the account for Angel 41. Their account is full of pictures of their artwork with a small bio stating where they're from and what they do. Informing others that they're an artist and links to their website. I think that this is a good way to promote their artwork because their 3,426 followers can see their artwork and they could tell their friends and this would help more and more people to see the artwork and possibly buy pieces of art.

A website that promotes a photographer is for an artist called Bing Wright. They use their website to promote pieces of their art and sell it. Having different links to different pieces. With parts giving updates on their latest work, ways to contact them and their full  resume. I think that using a website to promote their artwork is a very good idea and that they're using it well because it is out on the web for everyone to see; and therefore attract more business.

A blog that promotes an artists work is Melissa Dinwiddie's blog. She promotes her work on her blog in a creative way, with child like doodles to make the blog unusual and creative. This piece was presented in the V&A Museum. The work itself is wonderful and is very deep. The way it is presented in the museum is very simple and I think that adds more emphasis on the piece. It draws the eye to the centre. This piece was also printed very big and was on a wall all by itself; I think this adds to how deep and important the piece is, because it is special enough to be at the back of the room, on a centre wall alone. I adore the way this work is presented because the individual photos can be seen alone or as a whole piece. I like how there is space given between them so that you can view each photo separately, but close enough to show you that they are collectively one piece of work. They are also presented on a grey wall, this one being wider than the wall of the previous piece of work. As a member of the audience i loved how each image was presented horizontally next to each other and so your eye automatically saw each image from left to right, like reading a book. I like this piece because it is a memory of mine. Its presentation, as a piece, I think is great. It goes in order of how the memory unfolded. The presentation of the piece in the photo is not very professional, however, I feel that the presentation, being at a home, shows how real the memory is. The piece itself, I think, is presented very well. It is presented in a gallery space and I think that it makes the piece look much more raised and professional. I like how it is presented with a thin white boarder, but as a whole on the wall I do not like it very much. Because it is surrounded by many other pieces of work it blends in and is lost. The drawing itself isn't completely accurate or realistic, but I believe that it looks like the person who it is of and it was drawn with a biro pen in a shor amount of time. Something that I don't have much experience with. I like how it is presented on ripped, lined paper because it shows how rushed and normal it is of a piece. If it were to be displayed in a gallery I think that it would look good inside a think black frame, covered by glass. My least favourite part about this piece is the writing because it isnt in proportion. However, I like how the piece itself is very colourful and creative. I like the layout of the piece as your eye views it from right to left and you see the first person as you read the words and your eye is lead to the second person. I like how the piece is presented on a thick canvas because it pulls it away from the wall.
