I am in my 8^th year as a special education para with the Grand Forks Public Schools. I currently work with high school students with learning disabilities. In the summer I co-direct a summer theater program for students with special needs.

In the early 2000s I was a music education major at UND but decided that wasn’t the career for me. I am now hoping to get my Master’s in Special Education when I complete my University Studies degree at Mayville.

I am married and have an amazing 11-year-old step-daughter who lives with us 50% of the time. In my free time I love to go to the lake. Photography and music are my two biggest hobbies.

1). Better understand how schools and other agencies work together on behalf of students with special needs.
2.) Understand how school curriculum is adapted for students with special needs while still meeting local, state, and national standards.
