My name is Maria Camila, I am studying construction in architecture and engineering, I chose this career because it is my passion to help people achieve their dream of acquiring a beautiful house, this motivated me because in my hometown many people have to live renting apartments. Right now, I am coursing fifth semester, however, as I am in the homologation modality, I have only two semesters ahead finish my degree. Finally, what I like the most about this career is the possibility to show my creativity.

 TALKING ABOUT MY WORK EXPERIENCE

I have had some interesting jobs throughout my life, I thing that about 4. In most of them I have had to manage people and assist people in their doubts and problems. My first job was about 5 years ago, and my responsibility was to create some pools to extract charcoal from a mine, however, I didn’t really like that job because I had to work too many hours for a small payment, but in the other hand, I really loved my last job, which was being part of a construction agency, because I could make one of my dreams come true.

 TALKING ABOUT MY PROFESSIONAL LIFE

I am working in a construction agency, helping people who is not able to buy expensive houses to get one at a reasonable price. I am in charge of directing the workers building the houses according to the plans. Right now, the construction place is in a neighborhood called Vallejo. I love this job because it is related to my profession and my dream of being a builder in architecture and engineering. 

 REVIEWING MY CAREER PATH

Being able to work in the same field of my career studies is such a blessing not many people can enjoy. Doing what I love is one of the things that make me excel in my job, because I put an additional effort to reach all my goals and the goals of my enterprise. This work is so important because everybody has a dream of living under their own roof, and in my career, we make those dreams come true.

 2. What have you done in these jobs?

In most of them I have had to manage people and assist people in their doubts and problems.

My first job was about 5 years ago, and my responsibility was to create some pools to extract coal from a mine in Bosconia Cesar, later I worked with a construction company in Montería Córdoba supervising the construction of school classrooms.

My third job was with another construction company in Arboletes Antioquia, supervising the construction of low-income housing and my fourth job, which is where I currently work; I am supervising construction of social interest housing in monteria cordoba.

The job that I liked the most was my last job at Arboletes Antioquia along with my current job. Since these works make me very happy when it comes to handing over the houses to the owners after they are built, seeing that happiness on their faces is the best moment I can enjoy in these works.

Because they are goals that, just like I have, they have achieved and being the person who gives them the house is a satisfaction in my life.

The job at bosconia cesar I really didn't like it because I had to work too many hours for little pay.

I work in Monteria Cordoba in the Vallejo neighborhood, My working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.

I can easily relate my work experience to my profession since it is related to the degree that I am finishing, that is to say, in the construction field.
