Though I keep following the tutorials from professional artists online, I realized that I haven't been able to find my original voice in art.

Hence I want to shift from drawing front/side faces of women (it's all I can draw, to be honest) to understanding the technicalities of art and discovering my unique style (especially in the digital drawing).

I want to finish my Illustration Exploration Journey by the end of this Semester 2, 2022/23.
This is my monthly timeline for the Art skills I’d like to develop:

1. January: Character styles and Sketching; Human Anatomy; Explore different Art mediums

2. February: Character expressions and Sketching; Colouring and Rendering

3. March: Character body movement; Lighting principles

4. April: Perspective drawing; Environment styling

5. May: Fantasy sketches

Over the five months, I intend to apply my learning capabilities by:

1. Practicing Art daily

2. Participating in drawing challenges and competitions

3. Commercialize my art (progress over perfection)

4. Interacting with Art professionals and learning from their experiences (instead of blindly copying them)

5. Find new platforms to display my Art

The EDC Team provided a perfect opportunity to pick up a new hobby (apart from my research) and dive into video creating/editing to upgrade my skills.

I’ve always been keen on photography, but flying a drone has been my dream for a long time. I want to do something new in 2023 and build my photography and drone flying skills by exploring Hong Kong.

From January to April, I am inspired to:

1. Learn how to fly my drone and engage in drone photography!

2. Explore the diverse and unique spaces in Hong Kong (it’s time to meet Nature more)

3. Video editing (because I’d like to inspire many more travelers at heart by sharing my stories)

4. Learn from the photography and drone tutorials

It would also be a fantastic opportunity to see (and show) Hong Kong from unique perspectives and its stunning Natural beauty.

Watch the online class and do the special practice with the teacher to master the problem-solving skills of the top ten question types.
3、Specialized practice of speaking questions
Learn how to answer each TASK; imitate and recite sample answers, accumulate language materials, and practice voice and expression.
4、Specialized practice of writing questions
Proficiency in comprehensive writing and independent writing; imitation of sample answers, accumulation of language materials; consolidation of high school grammar.

Test preparation week 7-10
1、Word & listening skills as above, according to the progress of the appropriate shorten the length of practice.
2、Brush the questions to see the analysis of online classes, organize the wrong set of questions (often wrong question types and reasons).
3.Speaking skills strengthening: practice according to the content requirements of the online class, maintain the frequency of practice, independent speaking topics practice; comprehensive speaking intensive practice.
4、Writing skills strengthening: maintain practice frequency (including writing to be typed on the machine practice) pay attention to the point prediction, familiar with machine scriptures and predicted topics.

Test preparation week 11-12
1、Vocabulary: focus on memorizing TOEFL vocabulary that is not familiar and easy to get wrong.
2. TPO practice test: check the gaps and familiarize yourself with the flow and rhythm of the test.
3、Reading and Listening: check the gaps and strengthen the weak questions; pay attention to the point prediction.
4. Speaking and Writing: Keep practicing frequently (including typing on the computer to practice writing), pay attention to the question prediction, and get familiar with the machine scriptures and predicted topics.

Timeline,
January: In order to avoid abandoned in the middle, I am going to enroll in the Adobe Illustrator(AI) and Photoshop(PS) course in some official institution in the coming week.
February: AI course and practice twice a week.
March: PS course and practice twice a week.
April: Create poster and post in the social media, ask friends for improvement advices. Join the competition or apply for available job if for training.

I participated in the uris research this semester, and the research topic is the improvement of online education platform based on blockchain technology. The research plan and proposal, which was approved by the D/SRC chairperson, started last September and concluded this September. Project teams are interdisciplinary and include students in computing and finance. The goal is to improve teaching/learning systems and assessment systems through blockchain technology, and propose corresponding solutions to problems identified during COVID-19. We need to submit a mid-term report in April this year. My goal is to submit the mid-term report smoothly and get a satisfactory result.

Internship goals:
I plan to participate in an IB internship this summer. I will start sending resumes at the end of April and early May, and my goal is to get an internship offer before the start of June.

Summer school goals:
In order to make better use of the time before the internship, and to make up for my regret of not being able to participate in the semester exchange, I plan to attend a summer school in Europe at the end of May and early June. I have already started looking for suitable summer school programs and applying. I plan to complete the summer school interview and get an offer before May.

Extracurricular goals:
