In Chapter 11, William was really excited to put his windmill together. William woke up every morning before the roosters to work on putting his project together. William worked with Gilbert and Geoffrey to get a tower from bamboo sticks so he can put the windmill on it. William was so courageous in his work and he believed that it was going to work. The day he put up the windmill, many people came to visit it. A lot of people started laughing at William because they thought that it was not going to work. When the windmill worked, everyone was happy. Many people were asking a bunch of questions. William was not embarrassed and he was happy to see that it worked. At the end of the chapter, the village had a black out. William then went to his cousin Charity's house and saw that he had copper wire. His friend bought it for him. William then went back to his house and put lights all over his house. His family walked into William's room and asked him if they can have lights in their room too. William was very excited when his windmill was finished. Everybody say the windmill and they were amazed. This made William happy as William proved them wrong for thinking he was crazy. People were even congratulating William's mother and father for having a son that could do that type of thing. When William first showed them they didn't believe that the windmill was electric wind as William described. But William proved them wrong by presenting what it looked like, which made them amazed. William also used the windmill to light up his house during the blackout William's town. William also bought lines of copper wire from his cousin Charity with the help of his friend Gilbert for money. William was also very thankful for Gilbert. He did that so the windmill could connect to his house, during the blackout in William's town Wimbe. All of this made William's parents really happy and proud of him that his plan actually worked.
