Then I worked as a voluntary worker  with indigenous tribes in Argentina. My husband is English and we lived a couple of years in London before moving back to Småland again. We have four children, two of them are moving out this week in order to go to university. Now I work as a teacher in year 9, and I really love my job. What I also love is to travel and meet people. Besides studying and working as a teacher, I like to spend my free time trying out new DIYs from Pinterest. So far almost all of them have turned out pretty terrible, but I still haven’t lost hope at making something awesome! Haha.

However, my interest always originated more in the practical applications of language rather than its intricacies; the ability to communicate with people from other parts of the world and acquire more information from different viewpoints fascinates me. Without dwelling needlessly on that subject, I have in the taken great joy in studying both English and Japanese and now seek to complete my language studies here in Gävle in order to become an upper secondary school teacher in the aforementioned subjects.

Recognize two of my fellow course students. I am an Englishman from Yorkshire. I have lived in Sweden since 1998. Before this I lived in Germany 1990-1994. I once boasted a good control of the German language which has unfortunately been lost. Before language learning became important my big interest was art and design, which I studied directly after school. I have worked for most of my life with 3D design. My focus shifted most dramatically with the birth of my children, when people and building good relationships has become a dominant theme. I have two daughters, soon to be 16 and 14. Through their schooling, I landed helping out in modersmål engelska. This has been the main source of my income for the last 6 years, in Södertälje where I live. My goal is to become a legitimerad Engelska grundskolelärare. After collecting all 90HP in Engelska, my target is to collect 90HP in pedagogi, most probably through VAL. I'm Johanna and as my surname might suggest I have English roots and grew up bilingual in Norrtälje. I moved to the UK myself at 20 years of age, where I worked and eventually studied French, Linguistics and Language studies at the University of Southampton. After completing my bachelor I spent several years backpacking in Asia and working as an English TEFL teacher in Thailand. These days I am more grounded as the proud mother of six year old triplet boys, living in Götene, Skaraborg. 

My goal is to become a teacher of French and English, and after hopefully gaining these 90 points in English I will carry on studying for my teacher's license. The online course is working very well for me part time since I still love to spend as much time as possible with my boys. I absolutely love learning and I'm very much enjoying the course, although I tear my hair out for every deadline, always doing everything last minute!!

I was born and raised in New York. I moved to Gävle five years ago after high school to study at a university and to move closer to my mom's family. When i moved here i focused on learning Swedish for two years before i started at the university here in Gävle. 

I have now completed three years of the teaching program. I am looking forward to studying English again since religion was a challenge for me since most of it was in Swedish. 

Currently i am also working as a part-time teacher at Komvux here in Gävle. I have worked there, teaching English, for almost a year and i truly love it!

Am now a full-time English teacher at a grundskola in Växjö kommun, teaching grades7-9. 

The ultimate plan is a PhD. Atleast that's the plan today, can't say about tomorrow :)

I started to study linguistics many years ago at Stockholm University. Then I had to move from Sweden due to my job. After living in Paris and Athens, now I am back in Turkey where I was born and I live in Istanbul currently. I am a dancer and fire manipulator. I am 37. I also studied Dance Movement Therapy, but I am not a therapist. I teach interdisciplinary creative movement.

Apart from studying here with you, I teach English and Turkish, I teach dance, and I perform fire-breathing mostly with Heavy Metal bands.
