One of our EHE parents has written a book for young children entitled 'Whimsy'.

Whimsy is the story of a young girl who sees beauty in everything but herself. Through her love of nature, and her adventures flying with birds, running with squirrels, and gliding with ducks, Whimsy comes to see the beauty that has been inside her all along.

Information on Teenage Immunisations for EHE Learners

Nurture In Nature Forest School Sessions 29th June and 6th July 26

We are really excited to be able offer two Forest School sessions as part of a joint venture with Tredegar Park Primary School . Each two-hour session will offer families the opportunity to explore the Forest School grounds, visit the nurture farm and make a woodland animal to take home. These sessions are designed to develop a love of the outdoors and time to engage and connect with nature and each other.

Dates:

Session 1 – Monday 29^th June 10am -12pm

Session 2 – Monday 6^th July 2026 10am-12pm

Venue: Tredegar Park Primary School. Partridge Way, Duffryn. NP10 8WP

If you would like to attend, please email elizabeth.hansen@newport.gov.uk to be added to the list. Due to limited spaces, these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Families are only able to attend ONE session. All participants will be notified of their place. Once the sessions are full we will operate a waiting list system.

Due to the nature of the sessions parents will need to stay and participate in the session.

Parking is available at the school.

Appropriate and weather suitable clothing and footwear are to be worn as the sessions will go ahead even if it is raining. Wet weather clothing and wellies are available for the children. There are limited adult wellies also available but it is advisable to bring your own.

Dragons Sports Day

Art Workshop

Art Haus Van Gogh workshop

We are pleased to be able to offer another workshop in collaboration with Art Haus. During this workshop children will learn about Vincent van Gogh and recreate his sunflower painting in a guided painting session. There will be three interactive activities working with art paint and various other art materials, that apply core concepts and foster creativity, independence and teamwork. Children will be able to engage in small-group collaborations and independent learning throughout the session.

Date: Tuesday 2nd June 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Venue: Pill Mill, Courtybella Terrace, Newport. NP20 2LA.
