Think of a time recently that you noticed the beauty and wonder of our creation. What did you notice? How did this experience make you feel? How did it change your perspective and/or your mood?

Hebrews 10:19-25

In the 25 verse of Chapter 10, the writer of Hebrew states: "Don’t stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near."

Are there times of meeting together at ESD that you find encouraging? If so, what are they? Why are they encouraging? If there are not times of meeting that are encouraging to you, what changes would help them to be more encouraging? Is there something that you might be able to do that would help make this change?

What Child Is This, Who, Laid To Rest

The lyrics of verse three are: "So bring him incense, gold, and myrrh,

come, peasant, king, to own him;

the King of kings salvation brings,

let loving hearts enthrone him."

Considering Chaplain Toni's message centered around adventure, what do you think about someone who is willing to travel a great distance to share their gifts with another? What kind of motivation does it take to do something like the Magi (wise men) did? Can you see yourself doing something this adventerous? What kind of motivation would make you take a risk?
