He scored 1590 out of 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Tests and enrolled at Harvard College in the autumn of 1973.

He informed the CEO of alter that he was creating code for the system but in reality he was trying to pin there interests before he even started anything. When the CEO got in touch he started the coding with Paul Allen, they did this on a mini computer. After that alter took Allen on as a coder and Gates took a leave from Harvard to create and fix a coding system called dos. He called the new version he made MSdos and had a partnership with Paul Allen and created Microsoft.
