The Simpsons are a nuclear family consisting of married couple Homer and Marge and their three children Bart, Lisa and Maggie.
The iconic image of Homer strangling Bart epitomizes the best thing about the Simpson family: they don't get along. Marge's artistic aspirations are repeatedly destroyed by her family's insistence on keeping her busy with random household issues, like putting out curtain fires. Lisa's tree-hugging ways are given as much respect by her closest relatives as a meal at Krusty Burger. Bart has been abused so many times that his throat must have internal damage. And Homer… well, he's at Moe's right now.

Couple all that with a baby who shot the city's economic lifeline, and the best thing the Simpsons can do for their loved ones is what they've done to Abe: throw them out to fend for themselves.

Although the family is dysfunctional, many episodes examine their relationships and bonds with each other and they are often shown to care about one another.

The Argento family is a nuclear family, it is made up of the mother The Argento family is a nuclear family, it is made up of the mother Moni Argento, the father Pepe Argento, the son Coqui Argento and the daughter Paola Argento. It is a family where family relationships are not good. It always puts the role of women incoherent and clumsy, they also see the devaluation of parents towards their children and the lack of respect they have for each other. Pepe Argento is selfish, macho and moody, always recriminating his son Coqui. Monica Argento is a clumsy and lazy housewife where housework never goes well. Coqui Argento is a typical teenager of the age but not very intelligent and Paola Argento is a girl who uses her physique to stand out and does not stand out for her intellectual capacity. In the series the adventures of this family are shown showing the poor relations between them and exacerbating the characteristics of each one.

The Dunphy family (from the tv series: Modern Family) are a nuclear family consisting of married couple Claire and Phil and their three children Haley, Alex and Luke. Their general family relationship is good. They get along. But, there is no socialization of their middle child, Alex. She is so concentrated on her studies and being able to pass all her school subjects with outstanding marks that she doesn't want to socialize. Their parents don’t do anything to help her. In fact, she is usually ignored by them as they are too focused on Haley and worrying about her future.
In the first few seasons Claire's aspirations to be a business woman are tear down by her family's inability to manage household issues. Haley and Luke are seen as they cannot do anything by themselves and are treated as little kids.
Also, they barely see their grandma (Claire's mom). As she cannot stand her, she doesn't want to be around her. She doesn't take care of her.

Despite this family being dysfunctional, their relationships with each other is great and genuine. We are able to see that they actually care for each other.

At first there were five of them: Daddy Charles, Mommy Caroline, and the three little sisters, Mary, Laura, and Carrie. Later the family grew and new members joined: Grace, Albert, Cassandra and James.

The life of the Ingalls was full of sacrifices and problems of all kinds: poverty, moving, suffering, disease, fires and other misfortunes. We got the message: the times of the American epic will not have been easy for anyone. The Ingalls had to forge a nation, multiply and grow. And what better way than to do it under the laws of melodrama, and leave us a positive message about life at the end. A nice moral.

Although this, it seems that Kevin and his parents love each other because his mother was always worried about him and Kevin missed his parents a lot when they leaved. Furthermore, Kevin didn't have a good realtion with his other relatives, this is shown when the family was eating pizza, the day before the departure.
The morning in which the family was going to Paris, they forgot Kevin and departure without him. While the family was in Paris, Kevin had to avoid that two robbers entered the house with the aim of stealing. Fortunately for him, he perfectly face with this situation.
At the end, this family arrived back home and were glad to see Kevin was allright.
I personally believe that this family is a functional one, although this mishappening. The family cared the sick and aged members, also, socialization of children was presented, recreation was also present as the family planned vacational events and trips, the parents worked and provided the needs to their children. There weren't any economic problems within the family. The only thing in which this family didn't fulfilled was that they left alone Kevin.

The Robinsons, By Milagros Pérez Bridoux, Matías Álvarez Boccadoro and Florencia Sabra

The Robinson family, is an extended family, which is consisted by 13 people: Bud (grandpa), Lucille (grandma), Joe (uncle), Billie (aunt), Fritz (uncle), Petunia (aunt), Art (uncle), Gaston (uncle), Tallulah (cousin), Laszlo (cousin), Franny (mother), Cornelius/Lewis (father) and Wilbur (son).

Although the Robinson family is a loving family, they are also dysfunctional, each person has its own role and different ways of acting and living, which often creates conflicts within the incompatible relatives. However, thehy share everything, except for sexual relations, they share everything, goods, profits, everything.

Lewis is an orphan, with the IQ of a genius, and he's passionate about inventions. His unconventional nature and unintentionally disastrous inventions prevent him from getting what he wants most in life: a family. In the future (Cornelius), he is an incredible inventor and the much admired owner of Robinson Industries.

Wilbur Robinson is a mysterious child from the future, whose greatest flaws (being overly self-confident, having an arrogant attitude, and joking around all the time) are also his main advantages in life, as they allow him to always be one step ahead of the game.

Franny is Wilbur's restless and enthusiastic mother, who discovered how to teach toads how to sing and play music in the best big band style.

Bud sees life a little differently. He likes to wear clothes backwards, front to back, and is always looking for his teeth.

Lucille loves to dance to disco music. In truth, she is the furthest thing from the cookie cutter grandmother image one can imagine.

Always flawless as a hero, Art is an intergalactic pizza delivery man who takes his job seriously.

Billie has been obsessed with toy trains since she was a child. Now that he is an adult, he still plays with toy trains. Only now they are life-size and travel through the Robinsons' house.

Gaston, who loves being a bullet man and racing with Aunt Billie's train.

Uncle Fritz and Aunt Petunia have a strange marriage. She is quite moody and always takes it out on Uncle Fritz. Also, she is a puppet.

Uncle Joe spends the day watching gymnastics shows on TV from his comfortable chair.

Cousin Laszlo paints murals while flying with his propeller helmet.

Cousin Tallulah is a designer who wears a hat shaped like a skyscraper.

As previously stated, each member of this numerous family is opposing, contrasting and contradictory, this is what makes them dysfunctional. Nevertheless, the same factors are what makes each relative special and what bonds each other. Assembling everyone's clashing characteristics in one big, unfit and happy family, is what makes the movie so appealing.

The Baker family (from "Cheaper by the Dozen") is a huge nuclear family composed by Tom and Kate Baker, their 12 children (Nora, Charlie, Lorraine, Henry, Sarah, Jake, Mark, Jessica, Kim, Mike and twins Nigel and Kyle) and their dog Kunner.
Throughout the movies they show themselves as a completely functional and loving family, although the kids fight a lot and they sometimes suffer financial problems due to their huge amount of children.
They are very enthusiastic, loyal, supportive and competitive, and they do not have problems with sharing things and time together, even if they are very different.
In the second movie, Nora (the oldest of the children) is married and has a baby boy, but his husband and child aren't shown very much in the movie.
Taking into account the conflict theory, it can be said that this family brings lots of negative aspects to society, since Tom (the father) has a lot of more power and influence in the family, and takes most of the decisions, leaving Kate with resentment and powerless. Also, there are lots of fights and argues day to day between the parents and the children, the children only and the parents only, which brings the family into a very tense environment (sometimes). Also, the huge amount of children, bring economic problems to the parents, and are part of the problem of growing population, and all the negative consequences that it brings to the whole society.

The Hargreeves family are a nuclear family from the popular netflix series the Umbrella academy. It all started in october 1989, when around 40 women, who weren't pregnant the day before, suddenly gave birth. This particular event drew the attention of Reginald Hargreeves, a very wealthy man, who got to adopt 7 of his children, which happened to have superpowers and who reginald, trained to form an academy to fight against crime, all of the children instead of Vanya, who did not have superpowers, so when her siblings were on missions would just play the violin(poor vanya). These seven children are: Luther(Who is strong), Diego(who is good at throwing things, specially knives), Ben (who died :( ), Klaus (Who sees ghosts), Number five (who didn't get a name, unlike the others), Allyson (Who controls people), And Vanya (The one who just plays the violin). Also in this family there's the robotic mom, who Reginald made to raise the children, while he does his Reginald stuff.

Here we can see a gender division of labor. The robotic mom is responsible for the children and the housework, while Reginald is responsible for bringing the money and a ridiculous amount of trauma that should be enough for a lifetime, but of course, it isn't, that's why there are 3 seasons of this series about this family.

The Addams family (Paula Odriozola)

The Addams family is an extended family because it consists of the father (Gomez) , the mother (Morticia), the daughter (Wednesday), the son (Pugsley), the uncle (Thing), the uncle (Lucas), the butler (Lurch), the grandma and the hand (Fingers). They all live in the same household and Morticia and Gomez Addams are married. The authority is patriarchal because the father is the authority and it is who brings money home.
I would say that it is a difunctional family because they have couple conflicts as their children are growing jo and the things they like are changing and for Gomez it is hard to accept the changes his children are having.

The Loud family - María Rhodius

The Loud family from The Loud House. This family is a nuclear family consisting of the two parents, and their eleven children: Lincoln, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa and Lily.
The Loud House is a very loving family, but they have their dysfunctionalities. The parents are most of the times clueless, they leave their children alone for long periods of time and they have to take care of themselves.
Lincoln, being the only brother, feels like he has to protect his sisters most of the time. Even though he is not the oldest one. He is eleven years old, and sometimes he wants to be older, so he acts older. He acts like an adult. But, he is still a little boy, so most of the time he has no idea what he is doing.
The older sisters Lori, Leni and Luna, hace different personalities but all share one quality: they love their family and would do anything for them. Leni is very dumb, so she sometimes needs other people to take care of her, because she can't take care of herself. This treatment she received sometimes frustrates her. Lori is the eldest child. She is a teenager. She appears to be self centered and obsessed with her phone, but she still always takes care of her family when she haves to. Luna has a very strong personality, she loves music and she has a band. She is hot-headed and sometimes very intense.
Luan is a jokester, she loves playing pranks on her family, even though these pranks sometimes go out of hand.
The next sister, Lynn, is 13 years old and she is named after her father. She is a jock and loves sports. She also likes annoying her sibling with sports, especially Lincoln. She is very intense and is usually bothering Lincoln or asking him to play forceful games with her.
Lucy is right years old, she is usually isolated. This family lacks one of the basic functions of functionalism that is the socialization of children, Lucy is usually alone. But she is alone because she like to be alone, she likes solitude and darkness.
Lana and Lola are the twins. They are 6 years old. The rest of the family has to take care of them. They have extremely different personalities. One is a tomboy who likes playing in the dirt, and the other one loves fashion and beauty pageant.
The second to last child is Lisa. She is the smartest person in the whole family, in spite of being 4 years old. She believes she is better than everyone in her family, so this sometimes isolates her as she prefers to be with more intelligent people.
The lady child is Lily. She is a baby so of course her siblings have to take care of her. Usually, the parents are not home, so she is left alone with her siblings. Sometimes, when her sisters and Lincoln are in charge of taking csr eof her, they lose her in the park or even inside their own house.
Even though the parents are not very responsible and leave their kids to take care of each other, the Loud family is clearly a loving family who loves taking care of each other.
