There are several groups of students at LTUC who might have experienced higher rates of traumatic events. The first sector is the Syrian students who are originally Syrian refugees. Those students have been exposed to several types of traumas, such as: witnessing violent natural or war related crisis, experiencing death of a family member or close friend(s), displacement from home and insecurity. The other group, which are the minority, are the Jordanian students who might have been involved in domestic violence, sexual abuse or harassment and witnessed an action in which someone was hurt badly.

I believe that not many employees at LTUC are aware about rates and types of traumas in the lives of students, or even about the negative or severe impact of those traumas on learning, behaviour and attainmnet of students. Thus, LTUC is advised to conduct more trainings and awareness campaigns about that issue.
